About Us
The Goodnight “B” project was created to help provide culturally relevant, fun, and relatable children’s books to our Ho-chunk communities. This first book, Goodnight “B” will help incorporate the Ho-Chunk language, kinship, clans, and cultural values in a story easy to digest and engaging for young children. Our goal is to be able to expand and build our cultural and traditional teachings to young audiences in a way that is relatable to them and easy to understand.
The Outcomes of Our Project
A children’s book published in English + Ho-Chunk with copies available in physical, digital, and video format.
Readings of the book in community spaces, pow-wows, and cultural events.
A base to start a larger initiative to publish and provide affordable and accessible Ho-Chunk language books for youth.
